Warmth

Childhood Years

Working during the day at your fulltime job, then on your days off throwing yourself into your freelance stuff can be stressful. Doing it practically non-stop for 4 months can really take its toll. Well that happened and man did it break me down; I just had to find some small way to escape. So I thought head back to a part of my childhood, which was only 45 mins South from the Gold Coast.
Back when I was a little fella before moving to the coast I lived in a small town of Murwillumbah. If I wasn’t in school I spent a lot my time at a family friends place in a smaller town; Crabbes Creek, which was only a short 20 min drive from Byron Bay. Hanging around with the Crabbes Creek kids we just got into typical mischief, swimming in the creeks, building really dodgy billy carts and then testing them on the sketchiest rockiest hills you can find and pretty much anything which didn’t involve some form of TV entertainment to keep you occupied. It was good and would probably one of the best parts of my childhood years.
So I was only there for two days and had to make the most of it. I chilled the fuck out, got amongst the surf, slept whenever I pleased, got annoyed by a cute over excited pug “Frankie”, but most of enjoyed myself.
