Catch Me a Big One

After months without a graphics tablet because i managed to have lost the USB chord when i was moving out of my house back on the Gold Coast, i had finally managed to get my hands on a new chord.

That's All Folks

Here's a Facial expression test of a "Bikie Zombie Dude". This is from a collaborative project which never got off the ground about a bunch of rival gangs juicing themselves up with a contaminated batch of steroids, transforming them into zombies! The Illustration was created by good friend and very talented Nelson Nokela, check out his work!

Number Two

I stumbled on this old little gem while i was cleaning up one of my hard-drives. Did this around five years ago and i have no clue why i created this?

Here’s the rest of the bikes that I drew and water coloured a couple of months ago. I’ll continue the series in the following weeks.

On My Way

Buddha Surf Resort

I created a simple intro animation for the nice people at Buddha Surf Resort during my time over in Siargao. All I was given was the resorts logo, breaking it down into individual parts/layers and with the help of the puppet tool in After Effects I put some life into the radical Buddha.

Asik-Asik Falls. Only discovered May 2012. Nicely hidden in the tall mountains of North Cotobato.

Part 01 - Land

Here are some of the highlights in the past two months during my time over in the Philippines. I didn’t take as many photos as I thought I would. I don’t know if I’m just losing interest in taking photos or that I would rather be out in the water catching the waves then making people look good?

Maternity Leave

Well once again I went walkabouts and ventured over in the Philippines in the past two months. I spent some time with family but as per usual got board of that pretty quick and moved my ass straight to Siargao Island, the home of Cloud 9 and many other epic surf spots. For six weeks I did nothing but catching waves, eating fresh fish, hanging with great people, getting on the booze, getting raped by mozzies and of course having one hell of a time. But the time has come to an end, writing this only two days prior my departure back to Australia I would still be continuing my adventure...

I wouldn’t be returning back to the sunny Gold Coast but to Melbourne. I needed a change of scenery. I needed a new adventure.  Anyhoot my time in Siargao I did take a few snaps with my camera, which I think needs is shouting for retirement (I've put the camera through hell plus having lived near the beach for the past 3 years, I think the salty air has really gotten into the camera. Turns off on its own, doesn’t wana focus, buttons are getting stuck from corrosion etc/being shit). In my spare time I managed to work on a few projects, helped out with a couple resorts with some design and motion work plus creating some new personal illustrations. All soon to be revealed once I get back home in the right working environment so I can polish up my work. So in the following weeks I’ll be uploading a few pics from the adventure and a lot of new illustrations/designs!
